The women veteran population has spiked by 30% over the past 5 years and that’s caught the attention of the VA. The agency is now trying to connect with women and ensure their trust when it comes to health care needs. During Women’s Health Week (May 12-18, 2019), VA medical centers across the country offered open houses and special events to advertise the comprehensive services they offer. And it’s not just primary care and special services. Women veterans and service members can get preconception counseling, maternity care, menopausal support and more. You can also call the Women Veteran Center at 855-VA-Women.
