Wake County Veterans Services, in partnership with Veterans Bridge Home and local service providers, is holding a free one-day event connecting veterans to housing, healthcare, benefits, and more. 

The Wake County Veteran Stand Down will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at William Peace University in Raleigh.

No appointments are necessary. Services available on site include:

  • Showers and hygiene kits
  • Free breakfast and lunch
  • Housing resources and support
  • Healthcare screenings
  • Veteran Affairs benefits assistance
  • Employment and job services
  • Legal aid
  • Clothing
  • Pet veterinary services (Limited hours: 8:30–11:30 a.m.)
