It’s been nearly 4 weeks since the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs rolled out its new MISSION Act which expands eligibility for community care and a new urgent care benefit. According to VA Secretary Robert Wilkie, more than 44,000 Veterans used the Decision Support Tool on the very first day to see if they’re eligible for community care. Secretary Wilkie also says nearly 300 Veterans a day are accessing the new urgent care network. But while the changes are working for many folks, there are still a lot of Veterans who need their questions answered before they can get the care they need. As part of the VA’s outreach and engagement efforts, VA experts collected the top questions received from Veterans and provided answers to each.
