October is National Protect Your Hearing Month and the NC DHHS Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) is trying to raise awareness around the importance of hearing screening. Tinnitus and hearing loss are the numbers one and two most common VA service-connected disabilities among Veterans – above all other injuries. Veterans are also 30% more likely than non-Veterans to have hearing loss.
