New Legislation Allows GI Bill Benefits to Continue During COVID-19

On March 21, 2020, Congress passed a critical piece of legislation that protects GI Bill benefits for military connected students who are taking online classes due to COVID-19. The legislation authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs to continue to provide educational assistance through December 21, 2020, for programs of education that have been converted to distance learning due to an emergency or health-related situation.
