NC Sends Team to SAMHSA Workplace Suicide Prevention Conference

On May 16-17, North Carolina participated in a two-day Workplace Suicide Prevention Conference, Employers Answering the Call: Helping o Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and  Their Families (SMVFs) sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration and the US Department of Veterans Affairs.  Federal and state agency representatives, employers, state team leads, presenters, and subject matter experts met to learn about and discuss creative strategies to support SMVFs in the workplace and to engage stakeholders in identifying ways to promote health and wellness and to intervene at an early stage.
