The I Am Not Invisible (IANI) campaign started in Portland, Oregon in 2017 to bring awareness to the barriers and challenges that women Veterans face in getting health care and other services. Today, the project has reached all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The Center for Women Veterans recognizes that often women Veterans express that they are not a Veteran. To change the cultural mindset, the Center has changed how it asks the question, “Did you serve?” and is sharing the message with as many women Veterans as possible. This includes the I Am Not Invisible to #BringWomenVeteransHome2VA, so that all women Veterans can receive the benefits and services they’ve earned.
