In 2017, Congress enacted the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act. This Act required the US Department of Labor to establish the HIRE Vets Medallion Award program to recognize and honor employers that recruit, employ, and retain Veterans in their workforce. Employers may apply at one of three levels: small employers (0-50 employees), medium employers (51-499 employees), and large employers. Employers must complete and submit an application between January 31 – April 30, 2019. Awardees will be notified in November 2019. For more information and the application, visit www.hirevets.gov.
