Free Training Opportunity for Non-VA Providers Who Treat Veterans

Licensed mental health providers treating Veterans in the community may apply for this comprehensive training in the assessment of PTSD and suicide risk. The training will be offered online via a live video conference and include didactic presentations and roleplay demonstrations with opportunities for participants to ask questions. Assessment tools will be provided. Topics include:

• Military culture
• How to assess and diagnose PTSD
• Essential treatment recommendations
• How to identify and assess suicide risk
• Lethal means safety
• Safety planning

Two options are available in 2022. May 16-17 or July 26-27. All sessions are 10am-6:30pm ET.
