November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize the important role of our country’s family caregivers and thank them for the invaluable care they provide. These acts of commitment and compassion have been especially true through the COVID-19 pandemic. Americans of all ages have made substantial sacrifices to keep family members safe and healthy.

Resources:

*The VA Caregiver Support Program offers clinical, educational and wrap-around services to individuals who care for Veterans enrolled in Veterans Health Administration health-service programs.

*For Veterans who have a spouse, family member, or friend who helps provide them with care and support at home and could use an extra set of hands, The Elizabeth Dole Foundation’s Respite Relief Program provides free caregiving support.

*The Red Cross’s Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (Red Cross MVCN) assists caregivers of all ages, at all stages of caregiving.
