Cancer Patient Navigation Tools Rolling Out to Help Veterans

As part of President Biden’s Cancer Moonshot efforts, National Oncology Program (NOP) has helped develop a suite of structured cancer patient navigation tools, which are set to be piloted in 2025 at all VISNs throughout the Veterans Health Administration. Developed over the past year, these navigation tools and an integrated cancer navigation workflow informatics tool to aid nurses will help ensure improved and faster access to the correct cancer care for each Veteran.
