Ken Burns and Lynn Novick have filmed a 10-part, 18-hour documentary series, The Vietnam War, which will premiere on Sunday, September 17 at 8:00 pm. In addition, UNC-TV will have additional screenings as listed below:

- 9:00-10:00 pm, September 29, 2017 – Vietnam: Learning, Healing, and Counseling Live Studio Program at UNC-TV featuring an in-studio phone bank with VA counselors
- October 2017 – Veteran Coffee Engagement & Documentary Screening at Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville, NC
- November 4, 2017 – Veterans Coffee Engagement at UNC-TV
