The holidays, while often seen as a joyful time, can be stressful and deeply challenging for many, including veterans. This season can amplify feelings of isolation, grief, or loss, particularly for those who are separated from family and friends, or coping with the lingering effects of trauma. Veterans may also face unique stressors, such as difficulty readjusting to civilian life or memories of comrades no longer with them. Financial pressures, social expectations, and the struggle to find meaning during the holidays can further intensify feelings of sadness or anxiety. Recognizing and supporting those who are struggling is vital during this time.
