June is dedicated ‘National PTSD Awareness Month’ to raise awareness about the condition and how to access treatment. According to the National Center for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), between 7 and 8 percent of the population will experience PTSD during their lifetime. There are many causes of PTSD but it is important to note that the condition is treatable. There are resources available to help diagnose PTSD and get help.
