Thousands of veterans across the globe are tapping into rehab (and gaming) in a whole new way thanks to a new partnership between Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. A new Xbox adaptive controller that helps people with mobility limitations is being deployed to 22 VA rehabilitation centers across the country.  The controller can be used to play Xbox One and Windows 10 PC games. Playing video games can help release stress and build camaraderie for active duty military members. For Veterans, gaming can cut down on isolation and renew connections with fellow service members. Microsoft will use feedback and data collected by the VA centers to determine how effective the controller is in serving vets and how the device might be improved in the future.
