The Peer Support Mentoring Program connects dedicated Caregiver Mentors with caregivers seeking support and guidance in their caregiving journey. Peer support mentoring offers caregivers a unique opportunity to share their wealth of experience with fellow caregivers. Peer support mentoring fosters connections between caregivers, creating a comforting support network. To participate in peer support mentoring, caregivers must be actively enrolled in the Program of General Caregiver Support Services or the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers. Benefits of peer support mentoring include:

  • Decreased loneliness and isolation.
  • Improved access to support and resources for caregivers.
  • Enhanced connection for participants in remote or rural communities.
