Erik A. Hooks has been serving as the secretary of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety since being appointed by Governor Roy Cooper in January 2017. Hooks oversees a department of about 26,000 sworn law enforcement and civilian employees, along with about 11,000 NC National Guard soldiers and airmen. In this video, he describes his experience with the COVID-19 vaccination and answers several questions regarding the vaccine.
