UNC-TV Situation Report—A Reason to Live

On February 7 at 10:00p, Jeff Smith will host a Situation Report special series dedicated to preventing Veteran suicides on UNC-TV Channel 4-1.  A Reason to Live will feature Veterans who have attempted suicide and survived as well as family members left behind.  The series will also provide resources for mental health and suicide prevention.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services and the Governor’s Institute recently launched Help NC Vets campaign and website with resources for Veterans, Service Members, and their Families.  In addition to resources for preventing suicide, the website also lists helplines and links to education, employment, housing, healthcare, and benefits.  The Veterans Resource Guide can also be downloaded from this site.
