Two universities in the UNC system—Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) and Western Carolina University (WCU)—recently opened new Veterans Centers.  Voted Best of the Best by US Veterans Magazine, ECSU has been offering Veteran military services for some time, but this represents the first dedicated space for student Veterans.  Located in Griffin Hall, the Center boasts a lounge, television, and four computers. For more information about ECSU services for student Veterans, go to http://www.ecsu.edu/veterans/index.html.

The new Veterans Resource Center at WCU offers study space and a place for students to interact and engage in group activities.  Student Veterans also have access to career information and support services.  In addition, the Center also houses the Student Veteran Association, which provides transitional services and support.  Read more at https://www.wcu.edu/learn/academic-services/military-student-services/.
